Statement

My work conveys a pro-Native American activist message by placing my own culture outside of historical frameworks and within contemporary contexts of global communities. I imagine and create circumstances where pan-American indigenous peoples occupy world discourses from culture-as-product to examinations of being an Indian within different value systems.

In working through social-political ideas, my own interest in varied subjects (such as cartogaphy, popular media, language systems, and the process of History) influence and shape the work so that while the content is invariably about Indians, it exists between and around other dissertations.
